USGA - Handicaps
The Society has adopted the USGA web based handicap system operated by Northern Systems inc.
With the system all our members are able to establish an official USGA handicap. Using an uniform system of handicapping allows us to play fair and equitable.
All rounds of golf played (with of without another XGS member) players have to upload themselves to the USGA website. The society encourages their member to upload all rounds played.
How to enter a score?
Under the menu 'Scoring' you'll find 'Current Handicaps'. Go to this page or click here to go directly to the e-handicap website.
Then, find your name and click on it. You'll see Round Entry at the bottom of the page. First enter the password: xxxxxxxxx (email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for the password if you don't know it) then hit the Detail button.
From the drop down menu find the Date the round was played on, the Course you played on and the Tee position. Punch in your gross score for each hole in the space provided. Then submit.
It is as simple as that!
Played outside Xiamen?
We also allow members who played a round of golf outside our 4 home courses, to input rounds on away courses. To do this you need to use the Away button (instead of the Detail button) and fill in all required course details including USGA rating & slope. If an away course has not been assessed by USGA for index and slope use the USGA standard for unrated courses being, 72 for rating and 113 for slope. Then fill in as previous!
Tournaments scores
All rounds of golf played during tournaments will be uploaded to the system by the handicap committee. Tournaments results can be found under menu 'Scoring - Tournament Scores'. Look for the name and/or date of the tourney and hit 'Generate Report'.
Any questions, ask the handicap committee!
